Located in Brandon, FL, Pi Learning Academy offers personalized, flexible education for micro school or homeschooling families. Founded by experienced homeschooling parents, including our CEO, Zara Cory Mohammed, we bring immense knowledge and firsthand experience to creating a supportive learning environment. As previous homeschoolers ourselves, we understand the unique needs of each child. Our dedicated team provides a diverse curriculum, including Math, Science, History, Languages, and hands-on STEM projects. With both online and in-person options, we emphasize engaging, real-world learning through weekly field trips in a safe and supportive setting.
About usWe are a trusted resource for families and are proudly an approved provider for the Step Up For Students scholarship program. We accept the Unique Abilities (FES-UA) and Personalized Education Program (FTC-PEP) scholarships, making our personalized services accessible to eligible families.
We are a private Hillsborough County school but we cannot take FTC-EO scholarship yet.

Our program caters to students both online and in-person with flexible scheduling to meet the needs of micro school or homeschooling families. Each session focuses on core subjects and interactive learning. Our in-person and online sessions allow for tailored instruction that ensures each child progresses at their own pace.
Online & Inperson Classes
Our Pi Learning Academy offers three curriculum options: Parent-Provided Curriculum, where students bring their own materials for support and enrichment; Florida Virtual School (FLVS), with educator guidance for online learning, scheduling, and practice; and Customized Curriculum, tailored by teachers using diagnostic assessments aligned with Florida Standards, ensuring continuous progress monitoring.

Every Wednesday, students explore museums, nature reserves, science centers, and more, engaging in hands-on learning experiences that bring lessons to life. These educational adventures foster curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world connections, making each trip a fun and enriching extension of their studies.

We support students with diverse learning needs and make accommodations for IEPs, 504 plans, EPs, or other academic plans. Please submit these during registration. While we don't provide 1:1 academic or behavior support, we welcome students needing additional help, such as ABA therapy or RBTs, with prior notice and documentation.

Academic classes run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with optional morning drop-off starting at 6:30 AM and afternoon pick-up until 5:30 PM. On Fridays, classes are from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
We offer both full-time and part-time enrollment with flexible schedules. Parents can choose the specific days their child will attend to suit their family's needs.
Yes! We offer a 15% discount on tuition for each additional sibling enrolled, applicable to both full-time and part-time enrollment plans.
Our homeschooling journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when we realized our children needed more personalized support than the public school system could provide. Frequent IEP meetings and limited flexibility led us to seek a better educational path, marking the start of a student-centered approach to learning.
By 2021, we fully committed to homeschooling and never looked back. Our children flourished in a flexible, supportive environment that allowed them to learn at their own pace, reinforcing the value of personalized education.
In 2022, we strengthened our educational foundation by bringing experienced educators into our homeschooling journey. With professional guidance and structured instruction, students made significant academic gains.
What began as homeschooling our own children evolved into a broader mission. In 2023, we recognized the opportunity to support other families seeking high-quality, personalized education.
In 2024, our vision expanded as we welcomed new students and educators. Personalized instruction and strong teacher-student relationships became defining elements of our growing learning community.
In 2025, we opened a dedicated learning space and named it the Home Schooling Pod. Designed to support both academic excellence and personal growth, the space quickly became a place students looked forward to every day.
In 2026, we officially became Pi Learning Academy, transitioning from a homeschooling program into a private school. Today, we proudly serve families seeking a student-centered, high-quality educational experience.
